Millard High School Class of 71 Reunion Page
In your best Jim Neighbor's voice) SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SUPRRISE!
And here I thought that I had a bunch of old fogies in my grad-iation class....but Nooooooo....The Class of '71 proved last night that they could still party themselves stupid...
The Friday Night get together was a smashing success...we ended up with several '72er and a slug of '70ers, too! Fun, frolic, and severe tests to the memory was had by all. Many obviously had forgotten how old they were, because they had to kick us out of the place when they closed down!
Now comes the mammoth task of trying to top that for the Saturday events. Several people have signed
Soooooo...we had about 25 people show up for the tour of the High School on Saturday....and then most went down to the Old Stockade for lunch... great fun was had by all!
And boy if you missed it, I feel sorry for ya, because the Saturday Night dinner was a tear jerker....Dr. Lammel, Mike Janis, Lyle Reed, and Don West all got up and talked about teaching and life and broke out little hearts....
Well, now its on the Brunch, Golf, and ....whatever!
Millard High School...our dear mother...(alma mater)...beckons her wayward children to gather once again to feast and revelry (can you do that in wheelchairs and rockers?) and reminiscing (that can be done only if Alzheimers hasn't fully kicked in yet).
Looks like several of our old teachers and administrators are showing up for dinner on Saturday (so far, John Lammel, Mike Janis, Lyle Reed, and Don West) so be ready to roast and be roasted. We will keep you posted as to who is coming so you can gather your memories.
Even though we have just sent out the last mailer, we already have 60 people signed up (see the what's new page for an updated list of who is coming!)
for the Saturday Night Dinner, so it looks like we are going to have a great turnout. Will we be seeing your bright and shiney face there?
We hope this website will go a long way to open up lines of communication with the distant grads. Please take time to browse the site..and ESPECIALLY make sure you fill out the Guest Book Page!!!
This website is a work in progress, so please be patient with it. As a matter of fact, if any of you are proficient at HTML, please feel free to take over this catastrophe! As you can tell, I am not an expert at this!
So, puhleeeeease lend us a hand. We are on our knees begging..and the arthritis won't let us stay there long!
